My all time favorite books on Leadership is Brene Brown’s book Dare to Lead. It speaks to all three of my core values:
Truth, Connection and Impact.
Brene Brown is clear about her mission to build braver, bolder and more self aware leaders. Do you need to be any of those things? I know I do.
I asked myself the question “how could I influence more people to be these kinds of leaders when I work on my own?” The answer was in this book – to quote Brene’ “The way we move information from our head to our heart is through our hands” and that is why I started the Leaders’ Library read alongs.
So if you want to be a brave leader and build a courageous culture this is the book for you. Join us at The Leaders Library where we host book read longs and see how we do leadership development differently.
If you have recently promoted people into team or process leadership I strongly suggest you train them in these principle.
When we did a read along of Radical Candor and we had the leadership team from a company join us. It’s a great low cost, high impact way to train your leaders!
I don’t know about you, but I feel like this world would be a better place if we all lead with a bit more courage.
